About Me
Paul Raspa
People are inherently complex and I’m no exception. For years I’ve pondered what persona to offer online… the professional… the independent individual… the family guy… the holy minister… the techno geek… the secretive introvert… the public talker… the educator… Truth is, they are all part of who I am. This blog provides glimpses into the many parts of my world.
No Guarantees: Some of what you find here may be funny. Some may be serious. At times the post may be rude, crude, and socially inappropriate. Some may be heady and business-like. Others may be very personal. Take them for what they are… my perceptions.
A Little Background: Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, I’m a 38 year old guy who lives near Portland, Oregon. I currently work as the manager of online technologies for an international faith-based publishing and intellectual property management company. My work (and the last 20 years of my life) is a mash-up of technology, business strategy, and ministry. I’m fortunate to have a BA from Ithaca College and an MBA from Marylhurst University. Interests include technology (software is good, hardware is bad), eating (as demonstrated by my size), gardening (as evidenced by the many dying plants in my yard), singing (but not necessarily on key), organizing (because OCD can be a gift), evangelization (because I believe in salvation and hope to see our God someday), Alabama football (because I value my marriage), tattoos (because they are an amazing form of self expression), body piercing (holy people need holes), soccer (the real football), and flying (because it’s the only way I get high). Oh, and I have an amazing wife of 12+ years and a precocious daughter (whom I love but drives me insane).
